It was a beautiful and meaningful start to the Advent season for the entire school.

Nature Connect Kindergarteners Learn with Gratitude

The Kindergarten Class at Nature Connect School had a fantastic week. Their letter of the week was L, and the students came up with all kinds of animals that began with that sound. The theme for the week focused on gratitude, and together they created a “gratitude chain” by writing down what they were thankful for. The students worked hard on several math activities, including count-and-color exercises, continuing patterns, and matching quantities to written numbers. They had so much fun learning & playing outside!

Elsanor Elementary Spelling Bee

What an incredible Spelling Bee that took place at Elsanor Elementary School! We are so proud of each one of our Spelling Bee contestants; they worked hard and learned their words! They are all classroom winners! But, there is only one school champion, and that honor goes to Mr. Lleyton Spivey, fifth grader, winning the Bee with the word “garishly.” Mr. Mason Sultan, sixth grader, came in Second Place and Mr. Jude Mileski, fifth grader, came in Third Place. Congratulations! We look forward to Lleyton representing our school at the Baldwin County Bee in February!

A Night of Music & Milestones

The combined 6th grade bands from Stapleton School and Delta Elementary came together for a wonderful Christmas concert—and what an impressive performance it was!
Under the outstanding leadership of Mrs. Deanna Lepa, band director for both schools, these students demonstrated just how much can be accomplished in a short amount of time with dedication, perseverance, and expert instruction. Just a few months ago, many of these students were true beginners—unsure of which instrument they would play and learning for the very first time how to hold it. Today, they are confident young musicians who can read music, play together as an ensemble, and perform for an audience.
The growth on display was remarkable and a testament to the students’ hard work, the support of their families, and Mrs. Lepa’s passion and skill as an educator. We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful for opportunities like this that bring schools together through the arts.
Bravo to all involved for a terrific start to the holiday season!
