Every month we compile a list of students and schools doing great things across our community.  We have so many talented students in our area.  Eastern Shore Parents joins with these families and schools to celebrate their achievements!

St. Patrick Catholic School Top Gold Fundraiser

St. Patrick families and staff came together for our first big PTO fundraiser of the year at Top Golf in Mobile! It was a wonderful family-friendly event to support our Knights on a beautiful afternoon.

St. Patrick Catholic School Blue Mass

St. Patrick Catholic School 5th graders attended this year’s annual Blue Mass to pray for and honor our First Responders. This special Mass is held near September 11 each year. #BeGodsLightInTheWorld

Bayshore Christian School Senior Retreat

The Class of 2026 enjoyed a memorable weekend in Copper Hill, TN, at Whitewater Express! From ziplining through the trees to gathering around campfires, our seniors spent time in fellowship, team-building, and strengthening friendships. It was a special time of bonding that set the tone for a meaningful year ahead.

Bayshore Christian School House Sorting Day

Our 6th-grade students had an exciting day discovering which house they would join this year! With the help of their teachers, the sorting day was filled with anticipation, joy, and celebration. This special tradition sets the tone for the year ahead as students begin building friendships, growing in leadership, and embracing the spirit of their houses.

Fairhope High National Merit Semifinalists

Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) announced the names of over 16,000 Semifinalists in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. About 95 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and approximately half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.

Fairhope High Students Distinguished Young Women Participants

Fairhope High School students Veronica Farlow, Lyric Hall, and Abigail Landry participated in the Distinguished Young Women of Baldwin County Program. All three of them received scholarships from the University of Mobile.
Veronica won 4th Runner Up and Fitness Preliminary and Abigail won Fan Page Sales.
Congrats girls, we are so proud of you!

Bayshore Christian School Leadership Team Meets Troy University Chancellor

What an unexpected blessing last month at Bayshore Christian School! The BCS Leadership Team had the honor of meeting Dr. Jack Hawkins, Chancellor of Troy University. We are truly grateful for his time and encouragement. To God be the glory for moments like these that inspire and strengthen our mission of Christian education.

Cultivate Studios Open House

The Cultivate Studios Daphne teachers opened their doors with joy and excitement at our very first open house. Families had the chance to explore the Sprout Spot and Bloom Room, meet our dedicated team, and catch a glimpse of the inspiring year of play, learning, and growth ahead!

Fairhope East Elementary Students Learn About Weather

Dr. Campbell and Mrs. Semmes’ Gifted Education Students’ kickoff this year was geared toward learning about the weather. Meteorologist Nicholas Herboso visited the GEP students and spoke on the weather, clouds, etc. Students had the opportunity to ask Meteorologist Herboso questions pertaining to tornadoes, earthquakes, clouds, and many other natural disasters.”

12th Annual Spina Bifida Awareness Game

Special needs families, and the community, are invited to the 12th Annual Spina Bifida Awareness Game. The event will take place on Friday, October 10th at W.C. Majors Field, Volanta Sports Park in Fairhope. Everyone is invited to wear their SB t-shirt and wear yellow! Tailgating will start promptly at 5:00pm. We are also welcoming Sponsors, Raffle and Silent Auction Items. Proceeds will go to the Spina Bifida Association of Alabama to help families in need. Daphne High School Red Ribbon Leader

Congratulations to Kate Immel for being selected to represent DHS as this year’s Red Ribbon Leader! Because of her dedication to our community and her kindness to her classmates, Kate was voted to be our Red Ribbon Leader by a group of her peers. We are so excited for all Kate will accomplish in the role!

Daphne High CTE August Student of the Month

The Daphne High School Career and Technical Education Department has started a new CTE student of the month. This recognizes students in CTE courses and we recognize their outstanding achievement, dedication, commitment to learning, leadership, and career readiness and serves as an example to students and reflects the highest standards of our CTE programs. Congratulations to Jackson Triplett our August CTE student of the month!

Silverhill Best of the Bulldogs Pinning Ceremony

Silverhill Elementary School held our very first Best of the Bulldogs pinning ceremony!
We recognized our teachers with highest class achievement on ACAP from the 2024-2025 school year. We also recognized the students who scored the highest on ACAP in any content area of ELA, math, and science.
We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication exemplified by our students.

Spanish Fort High National Merit Semi-Finalist

Stonebridge Elementary Making Waves

Mrs. Kuehn’s class at Stonebridge Elementary School has been making waves!
Students explored science in action using droppers and a ruler to create waves, then observed them in slow-motion videos to study circular and plane wave patterns. Check out their amazing work!

Spanish Fort Middle Teacher and Employee of the Month

An Amazing Start to School at Nature Connect

Nature Connect students have jumped right into making friends, exploring, and learning together. Some returned to the creek with excitement, while others experienced it for the very first time. We are so grateful for the joy and curiosity they bring. It is going to be another fantastic year to learn, play, and discover!

This month’s core value was SUPPORTIVE, and Mary Rollins and Noah were both recognized by EMS staff as being exceptionally supportive by lifting others up. We’re so proud!

Rosinton Elementary School Red Ribbon Leader

We’re excited to recognize Kendall Coleman as Rosinton Elementary School’s Red Ribbon Leader! She was honored at the Superintendent’s Red Ribbon Leadership Program Kick-off. Kendall shows outstanding character, leadership, and dedication to making positive choices. We’re proud to have her representing us and know she’ll inspire others throughout the year!

Elberta High School Red Ribbon Leader

Fionna Stevens was honored at the Red Ribbon Ceremony. She will lead Elberta High School in a Red Ribbon community service project honoring “hometown heroes”. Fionna will also work with a team to bring awareness of the importance of drug education in our school and community.

Arden was recognized as Daphne East’s 25-26 Red Ribbon Leader at the Superintendent’s Red Ribbon Week Kickoff. We can’t wait to hear about your future project and know you’ll represent Daphne East well!

Foley High Student Places Top 5 Distinguished Young Women’s Program

Sadie Langham represented Foley High in the Distinguished Young Women’s Program of Baldwin County.
She won third runner up and placed in the Top 5. She also won fitness and talent awards totalling $3100. Sadie is also the recipient of the Founders Merit Scholarship from the University of Mobile valued at $48000.
We are so proud of Sadie and applaud her on this achievement!
Sarah Branscomb also served as a “little sister”! We hope to see her in the program next year!

Balwin County Virtual Student Represents at Distinguished Young Women

Maggie Rae represented the Baldwin Virtual school in the Distinguished Young Women of Baldwin County. She received the Presidential Merit scholarship to the University of Mobile and for sale-ing the most monetary ads.

St. James Episcopal School Grandparents Day

St. James Episcopal School celebrated Grandparents Day with a joyful program of nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and book characters brought to life by our students. Grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed refreshments, visited classrooms, explored the campus together, making the day one to remember.

J. Larry Newton August Teacher of the Month

J. Larry Newton was pleased to honor Ms. Lauren Parker with the distinguished award of Teacher of the Month for August! The secrecy surrounding the voting process, which is conducted by secret ballot and managed by our registrar, makes this recognition especially significant.

St. James Episcopal School Book Fair

Students enjoyed visiting the Book Fair on campus, where they browsed shelves of exciting stories and discovered new books to take home. It was a wonderful opportunity to spark their love of reading and share the joy of books with friends and family.

Fairhope West Elementary Grands’ Day

What a great day it was for our visiting Grands’!
We welcomed them on campus and treated them to donuts and a beverage and they got to check out the book fair with their grandchild/grandchildren! We really do love our Grands’ and thank you for being a special part of our pirate family at West!

W. J. Carroll Cafeteria Staff Earns Perfect Score

Our W. J. Carroll cafeteria staff wanted you to know that they take tests too and we are celebrating their PERFECT score! These wonderful ladies serve our school everyday with a smile and we’re proud to say that they recently earned a perfect health score. Thank you for all you do for our school and our students!

Daphne Middle 2025 Red Ribbon Leader

Congratulations to Kenzleigh Toomey, Daphne Middle School’s 2025 Red Ribbon Leader.
Kenzleigh is a confident leader who demonstrates responsibility, service, and school spirit. As a cheerleader, she proudly cheers on her community with a caring heart, believing that everyone deserves to be treated with equality and compassion. To show her commitment to living a drug free life, she intentionally chooses to surround herself with like minded individuals who prioritize their future and well-being. For her service project she has chosen to honor her hometown heroes, people who voluntarily go above and beyond to ensure the safety of their community, the Belforest Volunteer Fire Department.

1st & 8th Grade Buddy Reveal at Bayside

Bayside Academy 1st graders met their 8th grade buddies on Monday, September 15. The 1st & 8th grade buddy program began in 1970 during Bayside Academy’s first year, and the students get together throughout the school year for holidays, crafts, and experiences. This is an exciting time of the school year for Bayside’s youngest Lower School students and oldest Middle School students, as both grade levels look forward to experiencing this long-standing Bayside tradition.

The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation (JCMF) invites businesses and organizations to partner  as sponsors for the 12th Annual Peer Helpers Jubilee, a two-day event that uplifts and empowers over 1,500 Peer Helpers and coordinators from Baldwin County’s 55 schools and homeschool cooperative.
Since its launch in 2014, the Jubilee has become a cornerstone event for our Peer Helper PLUS Programs, offering a safe space for students to connect, share, and learn how to better support their peers through kindness, empathy, and mentorship. Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, the Jubilee has always remained free for students, schools, and educators including transportation, substitute teachers, and meals. Bayside Academy’s Shelby Fargason Named Mobile Optimist Club’s Runner of the Week & Alabama MileSplit Girl Performer of the Week

Bayside Academy senior Shelby Fargason was selected as both the Alabama MileSplit Girls Performer of the Week and that Mobile Optimist Club’s 6A–7A runner of the Week for her performance at Bayside’s home race, the Admiral’s Sunrise Invite, on Saturday, August 23, where she ran the 3,000–meter race in 11:34, 48 seconds faster than second place. Shelby was awarded this statewide recognition by MileSplit for the first week of the season and was recognized at the Mobile Optimist Club’s luncheon on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Ordo Amoris Classical Academy's Back To School Bash

Ordo Amoris Classical Academy’s Back To School Bash was a fantastic way to start the school year! This special evening was the perfect opportunity to meet and greet our 10 new families and 19 new students! Students were sorted into their Halls and jumped right into a friendly scavenger hunt competition. After dinner, families filled the floor for folk dancing- laughter, do-si-dos, and new friendships everywhere.

His commitment to academics, leadership, and the arts truly represents Bayside Academy.
About 1.3 million students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program each year, and only the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide earn the distinction of Semifinalist. Forrest now has the opportunity to continue in the program to advance to Finalist. Ordo Amoris Classical Academy Grandparent’s Day

On Friday, Sept. 6th, Ordo Amoris Classical Academy was filled with joy and gratitude as we welcomed grandparents and grandpals for one of the most special days of the school year. The morning began with a meaningful assembly featuring student recitations, hymns, and Scripture memory that beautifully displayed the fruit of their studies. Guests then enjoyed a light breakfast and warm fellowship before visiting classrooms, where they were able to see firsthand the rich and rigorous learning of our students.

Way to go, Ordo Amoris Classical Academy Lions! Our grammar school runners toed the line for their first cross country race of the season and represented Ordo Amoris with grit and grace! We are thankful for Coach Eric Locklear as he leads our team so well, and we loved seeing teammates cheer one another to the finish. Parents- THANK YOU for your support with practices and encouragement, and for serving our students so well at the meet. We are looking forward to a great season!

Cardinal Cookoff for St. Michael Catholic School

This fall, St. Michael’s Catholic School is turning TEN — and we’re going BIG to celebrate!
